Analysis on Examination of Chronic Diseases in Medical Care Insurance

Abstract

|
With the growth of economy, in the course of changing to a modem industrial society, the hampering factors to health such as the increase of old age, air pollution, industrial accidents, various accidents are increasing in our country. Due to change of life style such as these hampering factors and dietary life, the aspect of disease has been changed from acute contagious diseases to chronic degenerative diseases such as cancer, cerebral artery diseases. Hypertension, diabetes, which threatens people´s health and is a major factor to increase medical care expenses. Our country also has various and complex problems and the various medical services and policy are considered as necessary to settle these.
The purpose of examination of chronic diseases is to inspire a consciousness for self health care through keeping & management of a healthy way of life, to improve the health level of the members of medical care insurance by early discovery and early treatment and to curtail the personal medical expenses and, for the long viewpoint, expenses of medical insurance by preventing diseases in advance.
With these purposes. This study intend to examine the actual situation of the Korean´s health and after catching the problems in reality, to suggest an effective & managing plan with groping the policy on advisable examination of chronic diseases providing for the beginning of health examination service for whole people by comparing and analyzing in detail corpulence, hypertension, cholesterol, liver diseases, kidney diseases, anemia, phthisis, chest diseases, gynecology diseases on normal judgement, warning judgement and close examination on the basis of data on examination of chronic diseases by Medical Care insurance Management Corp., Medical Care insurance Association, Local Medical Care insurance Union held in 1995.
As the result of overall judgement of examiner of chronic diseases, in case of normal judgement, Medical Care insurance Management Corp, showed 31%, Medical Care insurance Association did 38%, Medical Care insurance Union of Wanju-kun, 36%, in case of warning judgement, Medical Care insurance Management Corp., showed 34%, Medical Care insurance Association, 33%, Local Union, 30°%0, in case of need for close examination, Medical Care insurance Corp.´ showed 35%, the Medical Care insurance Association, 31%, Local Union, 32%, in case of the Medical Care insurance Union of Wanju-kun, in the warning by disease, anemia was the highest as 10°lo and cholesterol the lowest as 2% and in the close examination by disease, hypertension was the highest as 19% and anemia was the lowest as 2%, At the result of gynecologic protoplasm for women among the subjects to be examined for chronic diseases. the normal judgement, type 1 and the subject as Uterus Cervical Cancer, type 3 were the highest in the Medical Care insurance Association.
In the examination results of chronic diseases, 1995 from the above results, the major health problems are almost in hypertension, diabetes, and liver diseases. So for if the health examination service emphasized on early discovery and early treatment of disease, the whole disease-preventing program preventing diseases to pursue the quality of life and the early discovery, treatment and preventing program of contracted disease are required.
